Tourism at the center of the development of the territory: Longarone Fiere Dolomiti is there

“The Dolomites are wonderful mountains to visit, the center of attention of tourists from all over the world, to be continuously promoted. With them all the Belluno area. Longarone Fiere Dolomiti must serve the interests of the territory and its businesses, and tourism is a priority ”. This was stated with conviction by the President of the Fair, Gian Angelo Bellati, in line with what emerged last Monday at the Assembly of the DMO Dolomiti.

Outdoor tourism, sports, experiential, congress tourism: the province of Belluno does not lack the requisites to attract all year round. But investments and growth in the accessibility of the offer are needed. The focus is therefore on the push that the great event of the 2026 Winter Olympics can give. For Bellati “we must be ready to give our service and be available to the territory. We already do this by supporting tourism-related issues at many fairs, for example at Agrimont ”. Not only agriculture, but also agritourism in the mountains: a fundamental theme, a very important attraction. Also “Re-Building plays an important role in the possibility of renovating hotels and holiday accommodation, which must always be up-to-date and modern with all the comforts that interest tourists”.

Just to mention the next two upcoming events in the Longarone exhibition program. But it is above all Expo Dolomiti HoReCa that we want to devote more and more to this sector. Moment of meeting between hoteliers, restaurateurs, public exercises of the Dolomites with the companies that supply them with goods and services. Tourism, which is constantly expanding in the Dolomite mountains, needs a meeting point where new business can be developed for companies working in the HoReCa world. This year, as the second edition after the two cancellations due to covid, the three-day event will be held from Monday 10 to Wednesday 12 October.

“We will do it as we usually do, together with partners, such as trade associations and public bodies in the area – underlines Bellati – and then with DMO of which Longarone Fiere Dolomiti is a member and which represents the tourism promotion agency of the Belluno area, always present at our fairs as we are present at its activities. For example, in congress tourism we have an important role thanks to our spaces ”. We go from the congress hall, which will be deeply renovated for Agrimont, to various pavilions that can be set up from time to time as desired, therefore suitable for every need: from important business meetings to b2b events up to major events, including sports. Think of the Paths of Memory, a non-competitive walk on the places of memory of the Vajont, which is a logistic base right in the Longarone exhibition center, or the FIS Fencing Championships.

And then it takes on even more value “Expo Dolomiti HoReCa in October together with Dolomiti Show where the major tour operators from all over the world will arrive coordinated by the Veneto Region, therefore very important agencies that aim to understand what this area offers”. In fact, the Dolomiti Show hosts the “Buy Veneto Special Mountain” event which sees Belluno accommodation facilities offer tourist packages to international buyers. Moreover, thanks to the presence of the Veneto Region, the Province of Belluno with DMO Dolomiti and the Unesco Dolomites Foundation, it is the best opportunity for a concrete reflection on the improvement of the mountain tourist offer. A milestone in the road map that marks the approach to the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

But Bellati looks further, because this great event also concerns “companies that offer products and services for sports, and in Veneto and also in the Belluno area there are very important, world leaders. We have fundamental clusters in various sectors of sport. Longarone Fiere can only be available to collaborate with them and promote their products, but also for the development of the whole territory ”.
