Vertical KM Còl De Lana
On 25 July 2021 the classic summer appointment with extreme running returns in the Fodom Valley with the Vertical KM Col di Lana. The sporting event, which, as usual, runs alongside the annual San Giacomo Patronal Festival, is characterized as one of the most exhausting mountain running competitions in the UNESCO Dolomites.

The competition develops along a route that from the locality of Pieve di Livinallongo (1452m) leads to the summit of Col di Lana (2452m). 1000 meters of elevation gain in two kilometers of elevation gain.

Route: Competitors will pass past the center of Pieve, climbing first along the steep grassy slope and then through a fir and larch forest, up to the locality of Prade. The increasingly sparse vegetation will allow you to see the obvious hollow of the Busc del Bruo where the competitors will face overcoming an easy rocky step.
Following the maximum slope line, the competitors will tackle the grassy slopes of the Col de Lana crossing the Teriol Ladin and then after a marked increase in the slopes in the final stretch, they will reach the panoramic summit.

An exhausting climb that climbs the steep slope of the Montagna di Sangue from the beautiful square of the Tyrolean village of Pieve, surrounded by the spectacle of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A decidedly challenging but very suggestive track that leads in just two kilometers to the conquest of the summit of Col di Lana, a symbolic place of the Great War in the Dolomites. The sports day is also open to young people aged 8 to 16 (with four distinct categories: 8-12 and 13-16, boys and girls), with the Mini Vertical, always starting from Pieve and arriving in Prade (350 meters of positive altitude difference); the departure of the Mini Vertical is scheduled for 11:30. Upon arrival, lunch will take place with awards and musical entertainment. The return is possible both with own means and with the service provided by the race organization.
