UNPLI Treviso presents the ‘Sprouts in art’ competition, dedicated to the artistic interpretation of PGI Asparagus
The UNPLI Treviso gastronomic review dedicated to the Asparagus of Badoere PGI and the White Asparagus of Cimadolmo PGI launches the 1st edition of the “Sprouts in art” competition
This is the period traditionally enriched by events dedicated to Asparagus PGI, a product of excellence that finds its habitat of choice in the lands of the Sile and Piave.
A symbolic vegetable of the Treviso province to which UNPLI Treviso has dedicated an entire gastronomic review: “Sprouts of Spring”. A calendar of market exhibitions and tastings which, due to the limitations imposed by the health emergency, is currently in a stalemate, awaiting reopening.
A suspension that does not stop, however, the desire of the Pro Loco to celebrate the white vegetable that for the occasion gave rise to the 1st Sprouts in Art Competition. A unique opportunity open to all those who want to try their hand at the artistic interpretation of the principles of the table: the Asparagus of Badoere PGI and Bianco di Cimadolmo PGI and their wonderful and unique territory.
Participants are invited to create a work of art (a drawing, a painting, a photograph or whatever the imagination will suggest to them), inspired by the product and its territory, taking into account five evaluation criteria: Product, Originality, Harmony, mastery of technique, emotion.
All the works received by email at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Sunday 1 May 2021 will be submitted to the unquestionable judgment of the Commission of experts appointed by the Organizing Committee and shared on the Facebook page of the Germogli di Primavera review, where be voted on by the virtual community.
The authors of the winning works will receive a basket of typical products and a lunch voucher for two people, as well as the satisfaction of taking part in the Official Award, which will take place in virtual mode.
