The Province of Treviso, between water and nature
The Marca Trevigiana is an ideal destination for lovers of sport and nature that lends itself well to being discovered through numerous itineraries that are lost among peaks, rolling hills and sinuous rivers, always in the middle of unspoiled nature in many places. The setting suitable for all those who want to enjoy a holiday dedicated to physical and mental well-being.

The SILE, the longest resurgence river in Europe

The River PIAVE, the way to the Serenissima Republic
“… A living creature, female, to whom virtues and human affections were attributed. A fertile and restorative mother, a centuries-old communication artery between the mountains and the plains, capable of suddenly upsetting the landscapes it crossed when its waters swelled and boiled, “they went in love”, due to the melting of the snow … With the strength of its waters a once the Piave transported thousands of logs, coal, molar stones, nails and irons, wine … Today those rushing waters have taken refuge underground … they have hidden themselves by covering themselves with gravel … “

The LIVENCE
In the easternmost extremity the Livenza continues its winding course towards the sea, an ancient waterway, a place of historical settlements and economic activities linked to the fertility of the land, the setting for significant historical and artistic events. Embankments, bends, woodlands, paths and fresh grasslands were destined to be invaded by its waters. Today they are corners of nature, of rare genuineness, a precious treasure of our land.
THE BUCKET
Sometimes, in summer, with the favor of the breeze, together with the murmur of the water, you can perceive the sweet scent of Impatiens Glandulifera Royle, which rises from the banks of the river in the surrounding countryside and accompanies the Meschio in the town of Serravalle. It is believed that the river in 1598, on the occasion of a disastrous flood, changed its course in the city; it was on that occasion that the so-called “Meschet” were built, very interesting hydraulic engineering works that today divide the riverbed into three courses through masonry diaphragms supported by original arches …
