The new Giusti Wine cellar in Nervesa della Battaglia is open to the public
Cantina Giusti Wine, in the splendid setting of the Nervesa della Battaglia estate (TV): tastings, guided tours and much more will enliven the experience.

The futuristic underground cellar of Giusti Wine in Nervesa della Battaglia is open to the public: 5 floors that go up to 8 meters underground, at the foot of the Abbey of Sant’Eustachio, in the heart of the Sienna Estate – one of the ten estates of proprietary vineyards, where grapes destined to become Asolo Prosecco Superiore are grown. It is a real work of art, designed by the architect Armando Guizzo, which required 5 years of work, 2 of which for authorizations, 1 for the executive project developed with as many as 300 tables and 2 for construction. The winery, which required an investment of 15 million euros, was built in full compliance with the philosophy of Giusti Wine, in total harmony with the landscape that hosts it, subject to environmental constraints.

Designed to reproduce the natural movement of the hills, it is dominated by a vineyard to be even better integrated into the landscape. It is open to visits with a dedicated route, in full compliance with safety regulations: through a promenade between the places of production, visitors will be able to discover how the wine is born, what are the characteristics of the different vines and learn about the history of the founder Ermenegildo. Righteous. The route will continue until you reach the underground square, enhanced by trees and a veil of cascading water, where you can enjoy a cool break. The visit will end at the belvedere where you can enjoy the view of the estate’s vineyards, Montello and the Abbey of Sant’Eustachio. The belvedere will host exclusive dinners and events.

A project, that of the new winery, strongly desired by Ermenegildo Giusti, an Italian-Canadian entrepreneur who for the love of his territory has started a real work of valorization of Montello. An act of love for his homeland which, in the last three years, has seen a 400% increase in tourist numbers. The opening to the public is an opportunity for the Nervesa company to inaugurate a new, fundamental chapter in its history, which will see it increasingly as an ambassador of the beauties of an area rich in charm and attractions but still little known. The goal is to create a new pole that combines food and wine tourism with cultural tourism, connecting the visit route from the cellar to the one at the Abbey of Sant’Eustachio, where the Etiquette by Monsignor Della Casa was written, a monument recovered by Giusti thanks to a splendid restoration which allowed its reopening.

Giusti Wine is a property of Ermenegildo Giusti, a Canadian entrepreneur from the area, who in 2000 decided to enhance the territory of Asolo and Montello, dedicated to quality wines since the time of the Serenissima Republic of Venice, so much so that it was taxed more than the others. Starting from only two hectares of vineyards, he has developed the project with passion, reaching today over 70 hectares of vineyards, distributed in 10 estates and about 100 total properties, and starting important projects to promote the territory, such as wine tourism, the recovery of ancient Abbey of Sant’Eustachio (1062), where in the 16th century Monsignor Della Casa wrote Il Galateo.
