Experience the Christmas fairy tale in Venice, with lights and trees decorated to welcome the most awaited event of the year!
The lighting of the illuminations will kick off on 21 November. Great attention will be paid to respecting the environment, limiting consumption through a plan of switching on and off dates in time slots and with the use of low-consumption LED lamps. Next, on 25 November the tree in Piazza Ferretto will be lit, while on 2 December it will be the turn of the tree in Piazza San Marco.
Markets: Many small wooden houses will be open every day to accompany Christmas shopping, amidst artisan products and gastronomic delights, the scent of cinnamon and mulled wine. We look forward to seeing you in Piazza Ferretto, Via Poerio and Via Allegri in Mestre, but also in Piazza Mercato in Marghera!
Skating Rinks: Three outdoor skating rinks open every day, with the possibility of skate rental! The skating rink in Venice, the skating rink in Mestre and the skating rink in Marghera: real ice, real fun!
Shows: the centre of Mestre will host delightful shows, concerts and entertainment for families and children!
Open museums: Christmas 2022 also brings to Venice opportunities to discover the city’s cultural heritage, with all the museums open during the festivities, starting with the exhibitions “Anselm Kiefer” – at Palazzo Ducale – and “Kandinsky and the avant-garde” at the Candiani Cultural Centre in Mestre.
