On Saturday 25 February at 8.30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of Sernaglia’s Town Hall, the ‘Festival del Sapere 2023’ (Festival of Knowledge 2023) returns, the cultural event conceived and organised by the Municipal Administration and the ‘Giocondo Pillonetto’ Civic Library, and which sees the artistic direction of Ezio Pederiva.
The event will see the well-known sports journalist Davide De Zan present his latest book ‘PANTANI per sempre’ (Libreria Pienogiorno): “A pressing investigation that never ceases to demand justice and recounts in the round the story of a champion who is in the heart of every cycling lover. Those who wonder why, twenty years after his last race, the love for Marco Pantani is more alive than ever, will understand by reading this book’.
The meeting, realised with the collaboration of the association Sprint Vidor La Vallata and the AC Col S. Martino, will allow the public to retrace the story of one of the myths of sport, the cycling champion Marco Pantani.
“The Municipal Administration has always paid particular attention to sport and its social incidence, both with events aimed at fully enhancing its educational potential, and through initiatives aimed at recalling its great popular passion,” says the mayor Mirco Villanova, “and this important evening is intended as a tribute to the enthusiasm and passion that Marco Pantani was able to raise”.
