Registration open for the Delicious Trail Dolomiti – 38 and 21 Km.September 2021
REGISTRATION OPEN FOR THE DELICIOUS TRAIL DOLOMITI
Two routes of 38 km and 21 km through the museum of the Great War
Saturday 25 September double appointment for mountain running lovers
The long-awaited appointment with the Delicious Trail Dolomiti is back, the trail-running race, scheduled for next September 25 in Cortina D’Ampezzo, organized by L5TSPORT ASD with the patronage of the Municipality of Cortina d’Ampezzo, Regole d’Ampezzo and Cai section of Cortina.
After the one-year stop caused by the pandemic, the organizers are ready to run together with the many trail-running enthusiasts to let them enjoy, kilometer after kilometer, the fabulous world of the Ampezzo valley. And today afternoon, at the Lavaredo Ultra Trail EXPO, the organizers will officially open registrations.
Two competitions of different length and difficulty, which will amaze and offer breathtaking scenery.
The main race is 38 km long for 2360 meters of positive difference in height and winds between Pocol, Croda Da Lago, 5 Torri, Nuvolau, Lagazuoi and Passo Falzarego, with the crossing of the largest open-air museum of the Great War fought high above altitude in the Dolomites, and with the passage through the Lagazuoi mine tunnel (2,647 m altitude). A partly technical circuit that requires great familiarity with the mountains.
At the moment it is not possible to confirm departure from the historic center of Cortina d’Ampezzo; the move from Pocol to Cortina, in fact, was the great novelty of the last edition which met with great acclaim and allowed the inclusion of areas of great historical and landscape value. But safety first of all; the organizers will dissolve the reserve only in the next few days, when they will have all the necessary elements to understand which location will be preferable.
The competition of 23 km for 1250 meters of altitude difference sees an incredible course that projects the participants on top of the Nuvolau. A race for everyone, as long as they are accustomed to climbs and descents.
And as always, a winning formula does not change, so along the way the shelters and restaurants involved in the event will offer, in addition to traditional sports products such as mineral salts and supplements, Ampezzo specialties, all in maximum safety and in compliance with the Covid protocol.
