Cultural events, food and wine, tourism and much more, to tell and bring to life the UNESCO World Heritage Hills.
Sunday 26 March 2023, the first Sunday of Spring, will mark the Regional Day for the Veneto Hills, now in its second edition.
This project was born with the precise intention of enhancing the natural, historical, cultural, sporting and food and wine heritage of our Colli Veneti, whose wealth is composed of a mosaic of unique landscapes, small villages, remote churches, ancient crafts, popular traditions and typical products.
This is an objective shared with the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore festival, whose organising committee has taken this opportunity to create an ad hoc programme, entitled Bentornata Primavera (Welcome Back Spring), which intends to further promote the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
There are many and varied proposals on the programme: in addition to the Wine Exhibitions, which opened their calendar with the 53rd Cartizze and Valdobbiadene DOCG Exhibition in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, which will continue until 30 March, the public will also be able to take part in guided tours to discover the area and itineraries dedicated to the many testimonies of sacred art preserved on these slopes, thanks to the collaboration with the Beato Toniolo Institute – Le Vie dei Santi.

Clean Hills
From 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon ecological day in the hills of Conegliano. Morning dedicated to the collection of abandoned waste in the hillside area and to raising awareness of more civilised behaviour and the cleanliness of the city.

Toast to San Lorenzo
From 8.45 a.m. to 4 p.m. a day to promote and celebrate our UNESCO heritage. The day will begin with a walk to the Church of San Lorenzo, where Holy Mass will be held at around 10 am. At 11.00 a celebratory toast to the Colli Veneti. In the afternoon, literary talk entitled ‘Poetics of the Landscape’ by Prof. Paola Alessandra Vacalebre and background music by the group Il Convito Musicale.

Cleaned Hills – Ecological Day
From 8 a.m. to 12 noon, a morning dedicated to caring for the territory. As part of the Ecological Day established by the Municipality, cleaning of paths and roads to make the Hills more beautiful and welcoming. For Combai, the meeting point is Piazza Brunelli, while in Miane at the Centro Polifunzionale. At the end, at the Multifunctional Centre, toast and pasta for all offered by the municipality of Miane.

♣ PRO LOCO OF REFRONTOLO
A toast to the Colli Veneti
At 9.30 a.m. walk in the Val Trippera: starting from the Barchessa di Villa Spada in Refrontolo, the route unravels among the prosecco and marzemino vineyards and rich vegetation. During the walk, stop at the “la grotta della sgnapa” (grappa cave), a ravine where illegal distillers produced grappa protected from public officials. Reservations are recommended at 345 422 0522.
The presentation of the book “Storie e Personaggi del Novecento” (Histories and Personalities of the 20th Century) is scheduled at 11 a.m., with musical accompaniment by the students of the Associazione Musicale Giovani Accordi of Refrontolo and the piano concert “Leggendo tra le note”. During the morning, children can take part in “Popular games of the past”.

A Window on the Hills
From 9.30 a.m. discovering Feletto and its treasures. A walk from the Antico Eremo Camaldolese (town hall square) to the Antica Pieve di San Pietro di Feletto. You will be able to see the progress of work on the next tourist Info Point, located adjacent to the Antica Pieve. Here a guide will explain the parish church and its frescoes. We will then continue along the Pope’s path, returning to the Ancient Hermitage, where the Pro Loco will offer participants a toast.

Walk with Cartizze finale
On the occasion of the 53rd Mostra del Valdobbiadene e Cartizze DOCG, from 9.00 a.m. convivial guided walk through the Cartizze hills, lasting about 3 hours, cheered by the presence of the Valdobbiadene Choir for a snack together. Participation subject to payment.

Excursion and tasting among the hills
From 8.30 a slow journey through the UNESCO heritage hills to discover unique and special places that can only be reached on foot. Guided historical-cultural tour to learn about the origin of the hamlet of Guia, passing through historic villages and religious buildings. The visit will continue with a walk through the vineyards where you will touch the Valdobbiadene DOCG production area, learning how the world’s most famous sparkling wine is made by visiting a winery. During the morning there will also be three breaks with tasting and pairing of three types of VALDOBBIADENE DOCG with local products and dishes. Participation subject to payment.

Discovering the Colle di San Paolo
From 10 a.m. to 12 noon, a morning excursion among the Vittoriese hills to discover the Colle di San Paolo. Starting from the city centre, we will follow a ring-route along the paths that wind through the hills of Ceneda and, passing by the Castle of San Martino and the hill of San Paolo, we will discover some curiosities about the local fauna and flora and about these places rich in religion and history. ♣ FAITH AND BEAUTY IN SACRED ART
With the valuable collaboration of the Beato Toniolo Diocesan Institute – Le Vie dei Santi, five different sacred places can be visited, guided by the words of the religious tourism operators trained by the Treviso institute.
