As many as 17 events including cultural, food and wine, tourism and many collaborations.
Also on the calendar are the wine competition, guided tours dedicated to Zanzotto, the 2nd Colli Veneti Day, and the Award for the greenest wineries.
18 March – 11 June 2023
The new edition of Primavera del Prosecco Superiore, an event now in its XXVIII edition, with its 17 Wine Exhibitions, aims to bring the public to experience the true essence of the hills where the world’s best-known bubbles are born.
In fact, the cultural and gastronomic itinerary will develop in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore area. From 18 March to 11 June, it will tell the story of the Alta Marca, its small villages, the vineyards that decorate the slopes and the industrious wine cellars that have made the area’s wine famous.
With the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore, gastronomy, history and culture become a single itinerary, as testified by the success of the event which, for almost three decades, has been proposed not as a simple food and wine event but as a journey into beauty to discover the places where the skilful art of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG wine-making was born, where ‘savoir-faire’ is combined with the appreciation of an environment that is unique in the world, so much so that it has been nominated a Unesco World Heritage Site.
HILLS TO CELEBRATE
On the occasion of the 2nd Regional Day of the Colli Veneti, Sunday 26 March, the Wine Exhibitions will propose numerous activities dedicated to the territory: guided tours, nature excursions, tastings, and many other initiatives aimed at celebrating the heritage of the Colli Veneti, environments to be protected and safeguarded.
IN THE PLACES OF ANDREA ZANZOTTO
Given the success of previous editions, the calendar of nature walks “Postcards sent by the Gods” to discover the places praised by the poet will be repeated, as will the guided visits to Andrea Zanzotto’s Paternal House. Cultural visits to the symbolic places of the municipalities where the individual exhibitions are held will also be scheduled.
9TH ‘FASCETTA D’ORO’ WINE COMPETITION
The task of the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore Committee is naturally to highlight the best wine production in the area, presenting the most characteristic types of wine to the public and awarding prizes to the wineries. For this reason, the UNPLI Treviso Provincial Committee, in agreement with the Association of Italian Oenologists and Wine Technicians (Assoenologi), as a body officially authorised by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, has obtained Ministerial approval to set up the “FASCETTA D’ORO” ENOLOGICAL COMPETITION, the first and only National Competition dedicated exclusively to Conegliano Valdobbiadene and its excellent wines.
GREEN WINERIES
In collaboration with the Consorzio Agrario di Treviso e Belluno, the Award dedicated to wineries that have decided to make at least one of their business processes more sustainable is back. The aim is to identify, reward and valorise the best practices of environmental and economic sustainability in the farms of the Prosecco DOCG production area
ACCESSIBILITY
A very important theme for the Organising Committee of the exhibition is certainly that of accessibility. This is why the Exhibitions have been encouraged to redesign their events with a view to accessibility and inclusion, a further step towards a tourism that is attentive, aware and truly open to all.
