(ANSA) – PIEVE DI SOLIGO (TREVISO), 17 SEPT – “His” Pieve di Soligo celebrates the centenary of the birth of Andrea Zanzotto, one of the most important figures of reference for the Italian and European cultural world, who in the Treviso city he wanted to keep his home and drew inspiration for his poetry.
The Municipality has chosen to celebrate the anniversary with a series of initiatives that have spanned the whole of 2021 and that culminate in this second half of the year, on the occasion of the centenary date which will occur on 10 October, in collaboration with the Andrea Zanzotto National Committee. .

On 23 September, between Borgo Stolfi and Cal Santa, the photographic itinerary “My district is Zauberkraft” by Miro Graziotin will be inaugurated. Six portraits by photographer Danilo De Marco, which will restore the poet’s “presence” in his earthly “homeland or matria”, a village that is the place of the soul and the cradle of poetry. Saturday 25 September, at the Careni theater, the event between spoken music and poetry cinema “Interpretare Zanzotto” curated by Lello Voce, with an introduction by Stefano Dal Bianco. This is the first of a series of multi-year events, dedicated to the rediscovery and rereading of Zanzotto’s works through the work of young poets, musicians, video artists, literary critics.
From 8 to 10 October, the international conference “Zanzotto, a century. From Pieve di Soligo to the world “by Francesco Carbognin, Andrea Cortellessa and Matteo Giancotti, in-depth study and rereading of the poetics of Zanzota and its themes, through the contribution of scholars from various disciplines, in a perspective that looks to the future of language and poetry. On 10 October there will also be a special postmark dedicated to the Centenary, in collaboration with the Italian Post Office and with the Adult University of Pieve di Soligo “Culture and Society”.
