Le Manzane – Springo Blue is the Best Charmat Method Sparkling Wine 2022

The winery of San Pietro di Feletto (TV) in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Hills wins two gold medals in the competition promoted by the magazine “Civiltà del Bere”

San Pietro di Feletto, 26 October 2022_The Springo line from the Le Manzane winery (TV) amazed the judges at the prestigious WOW competition promoted by Civiltà del Bere magazine, winning two gold medals with a score between 95 and 100.

WOW, The Italian Wine Competition, is the only wine competition promoted by an Italian magazine, reserved for national wines that valorises excellence linked to typicality.

Springo Blue Conegliano Prosecco Superiore Docg Rive di Formeniga Extra Brut 2021 also won the titles of “Best Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Docg” and “Best Spumante Charmat Method” with the highest score among all the wines entered belonging to the typology.

Director Alessandro Torcoli’s comment: “Brilliant straw colour, intense bouquet of wisteria, rose, white pepper, apricot. Rich on the palate, with excellent texture and depth, fresh and fruity with a very long finish. Great work’.

Gold medal also for Springo Bronze Conegliano Prosecco Superiore Docg Rive di Manzana Dry 2021 described by Torcoli as follows: “Brilliant straw-yellow, fine perlage, scents of jasmine, apple, honeysuckle. Soft, fruity palate, with good balance between freshness and fruit concentration. Excellent persistence and elegant finish”.

The two golds are an incentive for us to improve, even in these difficult times due to the heavy price increases caused by the energy crisis. Our goal, however, remains that of not compromising the quality and care we have always put into producing our wines”.

Le Manzane winery is located in San Pietro di Feletto, halfway between the Dolomites and Venice, in the hills of the province of Treviso, in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore Hills, declared a Unesco World Heritage Site on 7 July 2019. The family-run company is strongly rooted in the Treviso area as a producer for almost 40 years. The winery, among the most dynamic and interesting in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene wine scene, distributes both in Italy and abroad, reaching 36 countries.
