THE NATIVITY CREATION

After last year’s great success, the Ice Crib returns to Jesolo to enchant young and old alike.

A group of Italian sculptors, specialised in transforming ice into a work of art, creates a unique exhibition in the city centre. A magical journey through two display cases in which on one side is depicted the Jesolo Christmas theme with the elements of the sea and the beach, and on the other the traditional Nativity scene with the classic representations of the Nativity, the Three Kings, shepherds and sheep.

THE SCULPTORS

The team is part of the Accademia Italiana Ghiaccio Artistico (Italian Academy of Artistic Ice) and is led by Francesco Falasconi, a master carver with numerous awards, who has assembled a team of artists, including Francesco Carrer and Matteo Renato, who have ‘performed’ in various locations around Italy.

Ice, an ephemeral material par excellence, is transformed by the skilful hands of the sculptors until it becomes a true work of art capable of imprinting on itself the idea and emotion of the sculptors, of capturing light and refracting it into a thousand shades. Christmas-themed magic!

A free shuttle service connecting the great attractions of Christmas in Jesolo operates throughout the holiday period.
