Historical-naturalistic itinerary “from the sacred to the pro… dry” in Vidor
Easy walk that winds through the territory of the municipality of Vidor, through sacred places and hills full of vineyards.

The proposed walk is taken from the historical-naturalistic itinerary “from the sacred to the pro … dry”, identified by the Municipality of Vidor in the area and marked by information boards along the route.

We suggest starting from the parish church of Vidor and proceeding along the cycle-pedestrian path along the SP28 to reach the “il Capitello” residential shopping center and take via Tintoretto; from there you go down a path through the vegetation and reach the bed of the Piave (“grave del Piave”) where the landscape is made up of large meadows; along a dirt road you reach the slopes of the abbey of Santa Bona, built around 1100 by Giovanni da Vidor: a very suggestive place from where the eye can see the well-known bridge and, in the background, the Grappa massif. From here along the short climb close to the abbey wall you will come across the ancient village of via Bressana and after the first initial stretch you can visit the memorial dedicated to Captain Stefanino Curti, an Alpine gold medal for military valor during the Great War. . From here you can head back to the starting point.

These were the places that saw the most advanced front of the Austrians in the First World War: the testimonies in these places are still varied and significant. Now the whole territory is cultivated with vines in a splendid landscape which is a candidate to become a Unesco Heritage Site.
