Conegliano. Theatrical performance “The Christmas Carol” on Dec. 26

As part of the project “Christmas with a Smile 2022,” the play “A Christmas Carol” by Dickens with the da Ponte Theater Center Company, presented by Arteven in collaboration with the City of Conegliano, will be held on Monday, Dec. 26 at 4 p.m. at the Dina Orsi Auditorium.

Old Scrooge, a cynical and heartless old man, is visited on Christmas Eve by the ghost of his deceased partner Jacob Marley, who reproaches him for his narrowness and announces the visit of three spirits, the ghost of Christmas past, present and future, destined to redeem him. The spirit of Christmas, with its millennia-old hope for man’s redemption beyond social, political and even religious barriers, materializes here through the fantastic and the magical, giving adults and children alike an educational example of the importance of sharing, coming together and caring for others. Dickens’ work is a tale with an extremely profound meaning that history quickly made famous and timeless, and which is masterfully recreated by the actors of the Da Ponte Academy through the atmosphere of the most beautiful fairy tales in history.
