Ciao Treviso: the city guide to becoming a true Treviso citizen!
The new guide signed UNPLI Treviso has been presented

A guide that knows how to give answers to those who want to know and really experience the special atmosphere of the capital city of the Marca. This is “Ciao Treviso”, a publication promoted by UNPLI Treviso with the financial support of the OGD City of Art and Venetian Villas of the Treviso area, officially presented today at the Santa Caterina Auditorium.

“A publication that marks an important moment – declared Giovanni Follador, president of UNPLI Treviso – because it is a team effort, born from the preparation and passion of our collaborators, who have given life to a useful tool for those who want to discover Treviso in every its facet. My thanks go first of all to Ilenia Cenini, Tourist Guide and manager of our IAT offices in Treviso Center and Airport. But it also goes to those who believed in this publication: the Treviso and Belluno Chamber of Commerce and the OGD City of Art and Venetian Villas of the Treviso area, without whose contribution it would not have been possible to publish this guide; Ed Mark Edizioni, who oversaw the publication; sponsors Campagna Amica, Navigazione F.lli Stefanato and Latteria Soligo ”.

“Ciao Treviso is an innovative guide because it represents a true storytelling of our city – continued Federico Caner, Councilor for Tourism of the Veneto Region – by scrolling through these pages, an original and lively Treviso emerges, ranging from the history to the culture of our city, up to the curiosities that allow visitors to immerse themselves at 360 ° in Treviso. The place, the territory, is important and must be communicated in its entirety, and this guide manages to do it very well “.

“Ciao Treviso is a guide that comes mainly from my personal experience as a Tourist Guide and as a collaborator of UNPLI Treviso under the IAT offices of the Treviso area – explained the author Ilenia Cenini – because Treviso, like few others, is a rich city art, which knows how to speak to those who listen to it and amaze even those who have known it or have lived there for years: this is the real surprise that our city reserves for those who explore it with a careful eye and this is what I wanted to tell in the guide “.

The publication – published in Italian and English but other languages will soon be added – was born from the inspiration offered by the requests of hikers and tourists, their questions and curiosities. This is why the volume offers five types of itineraries in the historic center, to be chosen according to the time available and to your tastes and interests:

“The heart of the city” is suitable for those who have very little time and focuses on the main monuments and the most central area;
“Treviso city of art and water” is the most complete route, which can be done in half a day, but with the possibility of extending it to the whole day;
“Treviso and its squares” is a way of getting to know the city thanks to a journey through these places that more than others know how to communicate history, art and traditions;
“Treviso and its artists” wants to pay homage to the many Treviso characters and artists, by birth or by adoption, who have left traces of their work in the historic center;
“In the footsteps of Tommaso da Modena” meets the requests of those who want to discover all the works that the artist has painted in Treviso.
In each text there is a reference to the page where you can learn more about the historical-artistic notions of the sites you meet along the way, inserted in the sections dedicated to the different areas of the center: Le Riviere, Il Mercato, I Mulini, La Piazza, Il Borgo and La Vittoria. The descriptions are related to some interesting texts on artists, curiosities, legends and mysteries.
A part is dedicated to those who want to discover the Sile river, through a beautiful path that runs along it, from the city center to Casale sul Sile, between nature, art, history and traditions.
Thanks to the precious collaboration of the journalist Marina Grasso, Ciao Treviso also offers an entire section dedicated to food and wine, useful for getting to know the typical Treviso products and the places where you can taste them. On the other hand, you don’t really know Treviso if you don’t also discover its greedy aspect.
There is also no shortage of Must-do in Treviso, that is the five experiences to live to feel Treviso DOC, and the most curious numbers about the city.

Finally, for those wishing to visit the Marca Trevigiana too, three itineraries have been created that lead to the discovery of numerous treasures: the places of Giorgione, Canova, Scarpa and Palladio; The Hills of Prosecco Superiore, a UNESCO heritage site; The Terre del Piave: wines, flavors, art and traditions.

All that remains is to set off and start exploring the fascinating “joyful and loving” city.
“Ciao Treviso” is on sale at IAT points and soon in city bookstores, in some newsstands and accommodation facilities. It is also available in online bookstores.
