The Castle Carnival is back.
It starts on Saturday, February 18, with the opening of the Luna Park and numerous stalls of tasty and typical Carnival specialties, which will welcome a double parade of masked floats: at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Starting from the Ex Foro Boario, the floats will take the streets around the Castle for an authentic… carnivalesque walk! The floats, accompanied and presented by the voice of Monica Morgan of Radio Bella&Monella, will stop in Giorgione Square, for the so-called “bow” to the illustrious fellow citizen. Animating the afternoon will be an engaging performance by the FullTime dance school, on Caribbean and South American notes.
Sunday 19, on the other hand, will be dedicated to Luna Park and the Zumba Show, in which several official instructors will participate. In the afternoon, more than fifty musicians will perform on the Carnival stage, presenting as many as ten bands from the Officine Sonore workshop.
On Monday afternoon again Luna Park, looking forward to an unforgettable Tuesday the 22nd! Like any self-respecting Mardi Gras, the most mouth-watering challenge of the year returns: the Castellana Frittella Competition (classic Venetian, stuffed and Luna Park pancake). Twelve Castellan pastry shops are expected to taste their delicacies to journalists and representatives of institutions, with a presentation by Michele Cupito accompanied by the event’s patroness Beatrice Bressan, Miss Cinema Veneto 2022 and national prefinalist for Miss Italy. This was followed by a performance by the Black Stones, for a tribute to the best national and international music.
Grand finale with the fireworks display and the burning of the Castle! And you, have you already chosen the mask you will participate with?
