Carpenè Malvolti - historic Italian Enology Company Est. 1868

Carpenè Malvolti – historic Italian Enology Company – was founded in 1868 by Antonio Carpenè’s desire to make sparkling wines and distil wines with grapes harvested on the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. A dream that has become a mission that has now reached the Fifth Generation.

The winery is based in Conegliano, a refined city of art in the province of Treviso and home to the first Italian Enological School, founded by Antonio Carpenè himself in 1876. Since 1868, Carpenè Malvolti has identified with its history – made up of the Territory, research and innovation – which has contributed to the cultural, economic and social growth of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene wine area.

First winery in Italy to produce Prosecco as a sparkling wine, to perfect the sparkling wine method (Charmat method) and to create, already in 1924, the first label with the name “Prosecco Amabile dei Colli di Conegliano” – thus associating the name of the wine to that of the vine and its Territory of origin – as well as to bring, once again for the first time, on the label the term PVXINVM in 2015.
