At the Women’s Ski World Cup with PONTE1948

Only a few days to go before the 6th Women’s World Cup Giant Slalom at Plan de Corones, the ERTA slope is in top condition and the big crowd is expected. After two years of restrictions due to the pandemic, 15,000 spectators are expected to attend this year, including about 1,000 guests in the VIP area. The big news for 2023 is that for the first time, as many as two rounds of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup will be held in St. Vigil; in fact, both January 24 and 25 will be raced, anticipating a GS from the Czech Republic.

The event program opens on Sunday, Jan. 22, with a concert and lasershow at the finish area starting at 5:30 p.m. On Tuesday, Jan. 24, the first heat will start at 10:30 a.m., the second heat will follow at 1:30 p.m. On Tuesday evening, in Bruneck from 6 p.m., there will be the awards ceremony for the first race and bib allocation for the second run. Same times for the race on the 25th.

In addition to the ever-coveted award for the winner, the title of “Princess of Plan de Corones,” complete with coronation, all six champions on the podium will celebrate the achievement with a Jéroboam bottle of Prosecco Doc Extra Dry PONTE1948, the event’s historic partner. 

The double event in Plan de Corones confirms the ever-growing support of PONTE1948 to the world of sports in different disciplines at the highest level.
