At Dolomiti Horeca, the mountain restaurant trade fair, artisan ice cream will be one of the protagonists

Expo Dolomiti HoReCa, the exhibition for mountain hospitality and catering, will be held in Longarone from 10 to 12 October. And artisan ice cream could not be missing in Longarone.

Presenting us with a rich programme in the cooking show and competition area is the coordinator of MIG 2022, Dario Olivier:

We are here in the new Longarone Fiere Dolomiti Congress Centre, where Dolomiti HoReCa will be inaugurated on Monday 10 October, together with Dolomiti Show. This is the second edition of the trade fair for mountain hospitality and catering. We have the pleasure of welcoming 172 direct exhibitors representing 192 company brands with a presence from 11 Italian regions and 13 foreign countries.
This trade fair is reserved for operators in the sector who will be able to find hotel equipment and supplies, large kitchens and systems, food products for catering, beverages, contract furnishings, software, technologies, and much more for the sector.
We will have a very rich programme, with a demonstration and competition area with several events also dedicated to the world of ice cream making. On Monday 10 October, there will be the selection for the Triveneto of the Coppa Italia di Gelateria – you can register by handing in your sample from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday 10 October (https://www.mostradelgelato.com/selezione-triveneto-coppa-italia-di-gelateria). The theme will be Gelato&Bollicine, with the best water-based prosecco gelato, and will be organised by AIG, the Italian Gelato Makers Association. The first two winners of this Triveneto selection will have access to the final to be held in Rome in mid-November.
Another competition that concerns us is Gelato a Due where teams of chefs and gelato makers will compete against each other and the best will have direct access to the international final to be held at MIG on 28 and 29 November this year, again in the halls of Longarone Fiere.
There will be chocolate-making demonstrations by Confartigianato Nazionale Alimentazione (National Confederation of Confartigianato Food) with master craftsman, Cristiano Gaggion, and a talk show with the participation of Giorgio Venudo, representing the ice cream makers of Confartigianato Nazionale. On Wednesday 12 October, from 3 to 5 p.m., current issues will be discussed. From the difficulty in finding personnel to the increase in energy costs, and the problem of discontinuity in finding raw materials. We will also talk about the fact that these trade fairs, Dolomiti HoReCa and MIG, represent the last opportunity to take advantage of the maximum benefits of Industry 4.0. We will talk about all this together with Confartigianato Belluno, with Confartigianato Nazionale, with the hotel training world, and with politics.
Also not to be missed is the appointment on Wednesday 12 October, in the morning, where the Belluno Chefs’ Association of the FIC, together with the Food Community, will offer a demonstration and tasting of the best local products, in full harmony with the European Union’s Farm to Fork Strategy. Or the competition for the best Veneto Sommelier, which will be held on Monday afternoon, organised by the AIS.

Admission is reserved for sector operators by registering here: https://www.longaronefiere.it/horecaticket
