Agrimont 2022, the mountain agriculture and animal husbandry fair, was presented today

“My colleague Caner will certainly come to the inauguration of Agrimont, and if I can I will gladly come too, because being close to the world of agriculture at a particular moment like this is beyond important.” With these words, the Councilor of the Veneto Region, Cristiano Corazzari, concluded the press point on the occasion of his visit to the Belluno ichthyological centers. Together, at the Ethnographic Museum of the Province of Belluno and the Belluno Dolomites National Park, the presentation of the 41st edition of Agrimont, the mountain agriculture and animal husbandry fair, was held, which will continue on Sunday 20 and then resume on Friday 25. to Sunday 27 March. The intervention of the Regional Councilor for Agriculture, Federico Caner, was therefore confirmed at the inaugural ceremony (12.00).

After two years of hiatus due to the pandemic, the President of Longarone Fiere Dolomiti, Gian Angelo Bellati, is back in attendance and does not hide the enthusiasm, because the restart is proving extraordinary with all the exhibition spaces occupied. “Present we will have 198 corporate brands, 157 from 13 Italian regions and 41 from 11 foreign countries. A fair with an increasingly national and international character. The dominant theme is the link between agriculture and the environment. There is no longer only the CAP – Common Agricultural Policy – today there is also the Green Deal and biodiversity. Two other great European programs that bring important funding. But also important goals and therefore important opportunities for the world of agriculture “.

Great satisfaction also for the President of the Province of Belluno, Roberto Padrin. “Agrimont is not only the flagship for Longarone Fiere but for the whole province”. And in thanking all the exhibiting companies who believe in this important event, he also wanted to underline the validity of the program. Collateral events at the exhibition with important insights and topical issues. The numerous realities involved that will be protagonists at Agrimont are worthy of this. First of all, the three trade associations, Coldiretti, Confagricoltura and CIA promoters of the opening conference “Environmental and economic sustainability in mountain farms” – Opportunities and problems of agri-environmental and structural measures of the Veneto RDP and valid for the training credits of the Order of Agronomists and Forestry Doctors.

Padrin does not fail to point out the collaboration with the Agricultural Institute of Feltre, represented in the room by prof. Flavia Colle – also Board of Directors of Longarone Fiere, who will bring demonstrations of cutting, maintenance, chain sharpening and safety with the chainsaw to Agrimont.

For products, machinery and equipment for agriculture, and for everything related to the rural mountain world, Agrimont is confirmed as the reference event, also for the care and maintenance of the territory and its agritourism development.

At the fair, visitors will be able to find in particular a wide range of equipment for the collection, preparation, transport and storage of wood up to the most innovative heating systems based on energy saving. Also present several companies related to the gardening and horticultural sector with a wide variety of products and small equipment to be used in the care of the vegetable garden and the home garden, and the stands where there will be the opportunity to buy the most qualified typical products of mountain agriculture, such as cheeses, sausages, and speck and, more generally, of the Italian regions.

At the exhibition level, there will also be important suppliers of the livestock sector which has always represented the strategic sector for mountain agriculture. Thanks to the consolidated collaboration with the A.R.A.V. – Veneto Regional Breeders Association, the pavilion is also proposed again with the display of the main breeds of cattle, Brown Holstein, Red Spotted and Alpine Gray, equidae, sheep and goats, rabbits and Camelids, reared in the Province of Belluno. In addition to the exhibition part, the service with portable NIR for the rapid analysis of hay, silomais and Unifeed is added.
